Like every young girl, I would daydream about the man I wanted to marry and everything I wanted him to be. There were two things that topped the list of what I wanted in a man. #1 A worthy priesthood holder that had a strong testimony. #2 Someone who would be a wonderful dad to my children. I have an amazing dad who I feel so close to, and I wanted my kids to be just as lucky.
Boy, did I get what I wanted!! Mike is Jaylee’s best friend. He is so patient with her, and he spoils her with affection and love. He had something like 5 tests last week… and yet she still gets time devoted to her each day. I love watching them dance and play together. She laughs so hard as he gives her shoulder/piggy back rides, throws her high in the air, does stroller races with her, and chases her endlessly throughout the house. I’m glad someone has energy to do all this with her.
On top of all that, he watches her at least once a week while I am at young women’s activities/meetings. When I get home she tells me all that they did together. He takes her to the park(even when it is 100 degrees outside), mall, library, Cabella’s aquarium, and various frozen dessert places each week. What a lucky girl to get a date with her dad each week.
Thank you Mike for making my dreams come true. Jaylee and I are so lucky to have you!

Thanks, Mike, for being that wonderful person Chalece speaks of. It is such a blessing to have someone this great eternally connected to our daughter.
We know how much each of our daughters loves you and feels so close to, not just the one you are married to. They all think you are great!!!
Love,
Mom Avery
