The Story

I was scheduled to be induced late Sunday evening.  The Hospital called me Sunday afternoon and said they would call when they had a  open bed.  I was first on their list because it was a medical induction.  After waiting, stirring and not sleeping most of Sunday night, they called Monday morning at 9:00.

They Started the induction with pitocin at 10:30.  The nurse told me it usually took about an hour to get hard, regular contractions going.  After about five minutes, my contractions were both hard and regular.

I got my epidural shortly thereafter(I learned after going unmedicated through transition with Jaylee to not wait very long because I have quick labors).  At 12:30 my water broke while the nurse was checking me.

At 3:45 I was Complete.  Dr. Mckernan came in, I pushed twice and little Kyson was here!  Dr. Mckernan had me grab him as he was coming out of me… crazy.  I have to say… it was love at first sight.  I am completely smitten with my new little son.

I don’t know how I could be more blessed.  What a miracle it is to have a healthy baby.  I’m so grateful to my Heavenly Father for watching over and protecting me and Kyson.  028 058

I know the no-sleep-night waiting for the call, you'd think since it is our last night with the baby inside you would want to sleep but that is just impossible! Only the hospital called me at 4:30 in the morning, not like it mattered, I was already up and showered. I had a similar day though, got there at 5 Krieg was born by 9:30. Kyson is so cute!
