  Gingerbread Houses 

We’ve decided to make this a tradition.  Jaylee had so much fun making a Gingerbread House and even more fun eating it.

Christmas Lights

People in Arizona really get in to the Christmas Light thing.  We have gone on several drives at night to see all the Christmas Lights and Blow ups.  This home is our favorite.  It has over 100 blow ups and many lights to look at.  I think our kids enjoyed it just about as much as their child at heart mother.

 

 McCormick Train Park

We met my cute cousin Brittney and her family at the McCormick Train Park in Scottsdale.  The train takes you around the park illuminated with Christmas lights, blowups, and characters.  If that wasn’t enough for Jaylee… a carrousel was there to steal her heart. Kyson loved the twinkling lights and people all around.  It was so fun, and Jaylee is begging to go back.

Carriage Ride

Santa Came all the way from the North Pole to go on a horse-driven carriage ride with Jaylee.  Prior to seeing him, she recited several times her wish list that she was going to tell him, and practiced singing Jingle bells so she could serenade him.  As soon as it was our turn, she hung to me as tight as she could and suddenly became mute.  He got a small nod from her when he asked if she wanted a doll.   I asked her after our ride if she was scared of him.  Her reply, “No, I just wanted to sit on your lap.”

St. Nick

Every year on the night of Dec. 5th we put out our shoes for St. Nick to fill.  He brings a new Christmas story, goodies, new ornaments for the tree and a Christmas dress. 

Polar Express Party

The kiddos and I went several Saturdays to Borders for Christmas activities.  Jaylee’s favorite was the polar express party where she got to where her jammies, drink hot cocoa, read the Polar Express, do crafts, and go on a parade throughout the store.
