Christmas 2009
Merry Christmas! We hope your year was as fabulous as ours. It will definitely be a year to remember, and I’m sure one of the best of our lives.
Mike finished his didactic education in pharmacy school and is now amid busy rotations. He has completed two out of the six scheduled rotations and will graduate this coming June. I’m not sure what I’ll do with a husband not going to school. Mike has claimed his calling, Primary Pianist “The best in the church.” In his rare free time, he enjoys playing racquetball and reading non-pharmaceutical books.
Most of my 2009 was spent pregnant, a condition I love being only because I know the outcome. I love being busy, and enjoy having fun with my kids each day. I have become a regular at the library, park, and any place that has free activities for children. I am learning how to expand my attention to two children, and relish any moment I get to sit and cuddle with any one of my babies(you too Mike). I get to work in Young Women’s and love it. Any extra time is spent creating… scrapbook, craft, etc.
Jaylee is nearly three and has lived her third year to the fullest. She is very inquisitive and has a better memory than I have ever had. She has mastered her letters and their sounds and is now approaching the skill of spelling and writing. (Let’s hope she has her dad’s genes for the spelling and her mom’s for handwriting) She loves being anywhere that she can learn, or run around. She spent most of her summer in the pool and can proudly doggy paddle several feet without floaties. Slides at Parks are no longer fears of hers, monsters, however, are a different story. She sings about anything and everything. She has gained the title of “big sister” and loves Kyson with everything she has. We are trying to teach a little restraint on the love. Her domestic skills are expanding…she can now crack eggs while cooking with me, and can change Kyson’s diaper without help. She makes us laugh each day, and we remain on our toes constantly. We couldn’t be more proud to be her parents.
Kyson is growing way too fast. He is nearly four months old, all within a blink of an eye. He is a happy baby (most of the time) and very patient with all of us. His laugh can change a mood in a second, and makes everyone around smile. He has recently discovered toys, loves to suck on his hand (yes, the entire thing), and can splash the whole bathroom wet while in the bathtub. He views daytime sleep as unimportant and spends most of his time watching his big sister. He is in love with his mother and his binky. His dad has taught him all about football and basketball and they enjoy watching games together. He has brought so much joy into our home and has forced our hearts to increase several sizes.
We feel so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends. Heavenly Father has given us so many angels in each of you, we feel truly lucky. We are so grateful to know that our family is forever and that our Father in Heaven is watching out for us. We feel His hand in our lives countless times each day. We pray for you and wish you the best this coming year.
Love,
The Stumpes
Mike, Chalece, Jaylee, and Kyson

Mike and I should hang out sometime. I also think primary pianist is the best calling in the church and play racquetball in my free time!
