Our Arizona Experience

The thought of leaving Arizona is hard for me.  I’m excited for the new adventures to come, but I love it here.  So with less than two weeks left  I thought I would mention a few reasons I have Loved our Arizona Experience.  In no particular order…

# 9  The Weather.  It is wonderful to be able to swim in January,  do warm camping all year round, and go to the park on Christmas Eve.  Yes, we have done all of that.   I love the 100 degree monsoon storms in August,  and I even survived an entire summer while being pregnant.

# 8 Midwestern University.  After all, they should get some credit.  Mike has enjoyed going to school here, and will work for the rest of his life with the knowledge that he gained here.  So… Yay for Midwestern and a good career to follow.

# 7 It is here I have learned so much about who I am.    I have realized these past couple of years that I am proud of being “Just a Mom.”  That is a thought that used to torment me.  I wanted to make a difference in the world, have degrees, and to succeed professionally and socially.  But , I am so happy and so proud to be HOME with my two beautiful children, making a difference in their world.

# 6 Mike and I have grown in our relationship so much.  We have become even better friends, and have learned to rely on the Lord in our marriage more fully. It has been such an awesome experience for both of us to be here.

# 5 Although I’ve always wanted to try the country life… I have sure enjoyed the city life here.  We frequent libraries, city festivals and parades, pools, kids programs and many other conveniences quite often.

# 4 Our Ward.  I have never met more generous and loving people in my life!  So many members have served our family in many ways.  I feel blessed to know these people, and have become a better person just by watching them.  

# 3 KYSON.  Our sweet baby was born here and will forever be my Arizona baby.  How lucky we are to have him!!

#2 Jaylee’s Friends.  This little girl doesn’t even know how lucky she is!  I am missing these sweet kiddos already.  We spend so much time with friends, they feel a lot like family.

#1 Friends.   I don’t even know where to begin.  I feel that because Heavenly Father Loves us so much, he puts angels in our path to watch out for us, to take us by the hand when we are struggling, to shape us into better people, to be patient with our weaknesses, to teach us by example, to serve us and to love us.  This has be the case here.  They are why it is so hard to leave.  I LOVE YOU!! Sorry, I don’t have pics of all my wonderful friends… but I do love ya.
