Visiting our 2nd home

Arizona

First Stop: Pinetop.  We spent some quality time with the Berretts, whom we love and miss so much!  The kids enjoyed playing in the snow, feeding ducks, and just being together.

 

Then we drove to Peoria and got settled, just in time to see WICKED.  I’ve been wanting to see it for years.  When I saw it was coming to Arizona, I was even more convinced. 

And we got to see it with these cute people!  It added to the list of the millions of things we have experienced together,  hopefully many more to come.

It was amazing!  I would love to see it again, and so worth the money.

We spent the rest of our time in Arizona with the Piepers.  In true Jamie and Chalece fashion, we spent all day Saturday out “experiencing the world” with our families.  Favorite stop was this train Park.  I’m pretty sure Kyson was in Heaven!

 

Isaac proposed to Jaylee on the way to the train park.  It went something like this. 

Ike:  Jaylee, will you marry me?

Jaylee just laughs

Ike:  no, I’m serious, will you marry me? 

Jaylee: after looking at me for approval,  “yeah”

So it is settled.  She has played the field for a while now.  She’s talked about marrying several boys, but I guess she has made up her mind.  Glad to know we won’t have to worry about all the crazy dates while she is a teenager. 

 

It was so good to see our friends, and it made us reconsider moving back!   Or at least, be snowbirds.  Can’t beat February in Peoria, Az!

*By the way, you know your friends are true when they will take you in and watch your kids while you go to Wicked when they are due to have a baby at any minute! 

 

On the way home we stopped in St. George(another of our favorite places.)  We went hiking in Snows Canyon, played in the sand dunes,  went swimming,  visited my grandparents, and just had fun as a family.

 

So fun!
