Hayven Mae

This little sweetie came into the world in a hurry on July 26 @ 6:11 pm.  I was having contractions most of the day, but they were inconsistent, so I sent Mike off to work.  My sisters came to check on me, and after timing my contractions for a while, dragged me to the hospital.  I still wasn’t completely sure it was the real thing so I told Mike to stay at work and I would call him once I got checked.  I was at a 6 and in a lot of pain.  My sisters stayed with me and ended up having to coach me through my first natural delivery(turns out I should have paid attention to the breathing lessons in my birthing class years ago.)  It went so fast there was no time for an epidural, and barely enough time for Mike to make it for her big debut(he had to park in handicapped and sprint the whole way up.)  Dr. Warner broke my water and had me push as he walked in the door.IMG_0428She weighed in at 6 lbs 11 oz at measured 20 inches long.IMG_0432We are thrilled to have her here, safe and sound.

IMG_0447 IMG_0456 IMG_0479IMG_0459 IMG_0465I am still amazed when I see this picture at how BIG my family is, and how very blessed I am.  Four healthy, beautiful children… what could be better?

Ready to go home, and finally a name.  We were debating about Addilyn or Hadley but chose Hayven Mae.  Mike insisted there was a Y in her name :) Mae is after Mike’s great grandmother.

Love seems like and understatement for how we feel about her!

Wow! I didn't know it all was so fast and that Mike barely made it. Very exciting story.
