Camping in Sedona

Mike had the week off of school last week so we decided to take advantage. We went camping, one of our favorite things to do. Jaylee loved playing with the rocks, dirt, water, and especially bugs; but didn't know what to think when it came time to sleep in the tent. This is her second camping trip of many to come, and our first in Arizona. We were skeptical that anything could compare to Utah camping but were pleasantly surprised by the beauty of the Sedona red rock.

Jaylee enjoyed the fire, can you tell by her face?

This was the stream right by our tent.

We had kind of a random trip. First, this flautist came right by us while we were playing in the stream. He serenaded us for several minutes with his "Native American Flute" I was half-way expecting snakes to come out and start slithering to the music.

Later on, channel 3 News came to our tent and asked Mike several questions about our camping trip and if gas prices effected our decision to go. Anyone see him on the news? We never checked to see if he actually made it on tv.

If any one wants to go camping, we are always up for it!!

Sedona has a natural water slide at Slide Rock Park. It was fun to go play in the water on a hot day.
