As much as I love my kids, and as proud of them I am, I talk about the small things about them/their stages that are hard or not perfect. So I’m going to try to be better.
Here are a few things that are GREAT about them and the stage they are in right now.
Jaylee
- She is one smart cookie and has recently learned to write nearly all of her letters and can count to 30(sometimes more.)
- She has become such a great big sister to Kyson, in fact, he is miserable when she is not around. He always wants to be with her.
- She is very independent and takes care of her self most of the time. (Gets dressed, brushes her hair, washes herself in the bathtub, feeds herself, gets anything she needs or wants by herself, etc.)
- She is modesty patrol(I’m glad that she has taken at least one FHE lesson to heart.) She always covers her shoulders(even at night she insists on wearing a tee shirt under her nightgowns)
- She helps Mike and I be better. We never go without scriptures or prayer because she reminds us until we do it.
- She has an amazing memory and can recount stories from months ago.
- She has become a great cook and loves helping me in the kitchen.
- She has learned to say please and thank you when she wants things.
- She knows what she wants. She is a leader.
- She is a great “mom” to her baby dolls. I wouldn’t be surprised is she is a mother of ten someday.
Kyson
- He is learning so much each day. In the past couple weeks he has learned several animal sounds, how to nod his head for “yes” and “no”, to tickle while saying “lil lil lil”, and how to climb. He seems to learn a new word or sound every few days.
- He is such a loving little boy. He is constantly giving out hugs and kisses. A couple weeks ago in church, he pinned a little boy in a corner and was trying to give him a kiss. The little boy wanted nothing to do with it.
- He is a little goon and makes a game out of everything. He makes us laugh with his quirky little smile and fun personality.
- He entertains himself often, and shares mommy’s attention with Jaylee.
- He is happy 99 percent of the time. Even when he is sick or tired, he always seems to be smiling.
- He has started to love to read. He brings me books and sits on my lap numerous times a day.
- He is a good eater and will eat most anything.
- He loves balls, and can spot one a mile away. He’s got quite the arm too.
- He cuddles with me regularly.
- He is good at sharing and being soft to other kids.
I love my kiddos and couldn’t imagine life without them!!
