Last Day of Summer

IMG_8000 IMG_7995 IMG_7998This summer has been amazing!  I wish I could put into words how much fun I have being a mom to these kiddos.  There are hard days, I sometimes don’t have enough patience, I feel disappointment and frustration but overall… being a mom is so fulfilling.  I enjoy watching life through the eyes of a child.  I love watching them learn and grow!

I have had a very hard time with the idea of Jaylee going to Kindergarten(more on this later.)  I just want to put our time this summer in a bottle.  What was so great about it?  We had no schedule, very little time apart.  We woke up each morning and had the whole day ahead of us with the world to discover and the time to do it!  We had soooo much time together as a family.  I know as they grow, we will have less and less and that makes me want to cry!

So the day before Kindergarten I wanted to have one last sha-bang!  I gave the kids a million options and they chose the Bean Museum.  We drove(got lost on BYU campus-I’m known to do that) and realized that it was closed for construction.  So, we opted to feed ducks and have a picnic.  They loved it and I couldn’t help long for the duck park in Arizona we went to so often.  Then we went to the mall to play and for haircuts(free for kids from JCPenney.)

That night we had a special back to school family home evening and then Mike was able to give the kids father’s blessings.
